metal4africa is serious about respecting your privacy.  We endeavour to protect your personal information.  In this Privacy Policy, we describe what personal information we collect and how it is used.  By using this website or engaging with metal4africa, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.  Metal4africa reserves the right to update this policy from time to time, and if such updates occur, we will communicate changes with our subscribed mailing list.

Definitions

metal4africa (referred to as either "M4A", "we", "us" or "our") refers to metal4africa as the entity as well as the people in appointed roles within the entity.

  •      Such as personal name, billing and shipping address, contact number and email address.

  •      We may share this information with our business partners (ie: courier companies) only if that information is required to deliver our Service to You.

  •      We will use your email address to send a newsletter from time to time.  By using our Service you are agreeing to be added to our subscriber list, and you reserve the right to unsubscribe at will at any time thereafter.  Even if you unsubscribe, it is possible that you will still receive emails from metal4africa which are directly related to interactions you maintain with the Website, such as purchases of goods or tickets.

  •      We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. This is necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws) and resolve disputes. We will also retain data usage for internal analysis purposes and emails for transaction history, which is stored for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.


2.    Financial information

  •      Such as card and/or bank account information

  •      We do not use a payment gateway at this point in time and all transactions for the foreseeable future will be carried out by you, using EFT Services provided by your bank.

  •      In the event of a refund request from you to us, we will request your banking information.

  •      We will begin to use a third-party payment gateway in the future.  When we do so, it will be via a reputable brand which upholds our values as metal4africa as well as the legal provisions required within the Republic of South Africa.  We will also still allow for EFTs, managed entirely by you, as a secondary option when that time arrives.


3.    Website usage information

  •      Such as: cookies, IP address and Google Analytics

  •      This information is collected automatically when you use our website.

  •      We make use of cookies which collect data about the device that you use to access our website.

  •      We will retain your usage data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
     

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have migrated our website infrastructure entirely to a reputable global Service Provider at Wix.com Ltd. You may read their Privacy Policy here, and pay particular attention to sections 6, 7, 9, 12, 13 and 16.

1.    Children's Privacy

Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take all the necessary steps to remove that information from our storage.

Our website may contain links to other websites we consider to be of interest. However, once you make use of these third-party links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over the other website. Our website includes embedded content and active links to our own social media pages on websites such as (and not limited to) YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Pinterest and Tik-Tok, as well as to the social media pages of third-party entities relating directly to the content we distribute.  We will always endeavour to keep the content displayed on our website as strictly relevant to the primary interests of our focus, our readership, and our goals. However, once you interact with the embedded content, you should note that we do not have any control over the other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst interacting with such sites and as such, these sites are excluded from this Privacy Policy. Take note that you are not obliged to interact with any of these embedded features in order to use the Services which metal4africa offers, and they are included only as points of extended interest.

General

1.    In terms of S11 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT) 25 of 2002 and the common law of contract, this policy is valid, binding and enforceable against all persons that may interact with, or access metal4africa via the website, via email, social media, telephone or in person.

2.    The unauthorized use, copying, reproduction, variation, modification or distribution of the content of this website, the uploading of any unlawful or damaging information or viral software, or the creation of any links to our website from any other website, is strictly prohibited.
